Whether or not you buy into the whole commercial 'Valentines Day' nonsense I think it's always nice to feel a bit lovey dovey.
I chose this scene from from one of the earlier chapters of Sharquelle 's fanfiction that's pre Mercer "romance" (if you can call it that!). I think some one of the most intense feelings in any romance is that sense of longing for a person and having no idea if that person feels the same way. In my experience love grows and grows exponentially, but never has the same sharp edge or beautiful melancholy as that initial longing.
I think the location of 'Solitude' works in nicely with this theme also!
I hope everyone has a great Friday! Soon the garish red and white love heart merchandise will be gone and it won't have to offend any one else's eyes...
Ahhh thank you!!! How are you finding Deviant Art??
So pretty. the moths were a fantastic addition.
I really love the lighting and how Aronansa is looking at the luna moths. Great job recreating Solitude!
Beautiful really. Really beautiful and magical!
Wow. This one is really beautifull! You should make a big High Res of this one.
Really really love the lighting. The Lunamots, Aronansa's face and hair ... Wow!!!!!
I have been trying to come up with a 'normal' comment, something that makes sense, but I find myself drooling all over my desk instead... I love this one. Her dreamy expression, the glow on those moths, perfect Solitude by night and how she looks and her pose. Here is a huge pink valentines heart for you as I go and clean my desk.
You should have seen me holding my hand up just like Nansa's as I was drawing it hahah! VISUAL REFERENCE!
So happy you like! Thank you for inspiring this!
I love the detail/shading work on her hand, the Luna Moths are a lovely touch too.
I liked the WIP with the buildings but my what a difference a person makes to the whole drawing - Beautiful!
Thanks! I love adding a bit of flora and fauna, there's also a hawk just on the bottom left of the moon.... Another barely visible detail I like to add hahah!
This turned out super gorgeous! Great job!
