Bleakfalls Barrow

I had so much fun working on this I am sad that it's finished! This is an illustration I created for of her character's Emilia and Nightshade and is set in Bleakfalls Barrow. Here is a little excerpt from her story 'The Last Dragonborn': 


“Bear… Moth… Owl…”
Emilia read off what the engravings on the back of the Golden Claw were, and Nightshade slowly turned the large rings of the door leading to the final chamber of Bleak Falls Barrow. As Nightshade turned the rings, Emilia picked up the sound of a strange noise that resembled chanting. She put her ear against the wall, and the noise was indeed coming from inside the chamber.
“What is it?” Nightshade asked.
“Do you hear that?”
“Hear what?”
“The chanting.”
“What chanting?”
“I hear voices coming from beyond this door.”
“I doubt that anyone’s in there. It’s probably just the wind. Hand me that claw, I’ll open the door.”
Emilia gave the claw to Nightshade, and she stuck it inside the ancient keyhole and turned it. The doors rumbled and slowly began to slide open. Emilia gasped in wonder at the sight of the inner chamber: a massive, brilliant cave that seemed to glow with its own source of light. Waterfalls from an underground spring flowed from the stone walls; the sound of the rushing water echoicing through the spaceous chamber. A swarm of bats swooped down and flew into the direction of an icy wind blowing in from the cave’s ceiling, undoubtedly where several tunnels leading to the surface could be found. On the far side of the cave sat a large curved wall with ornate carvings, and Emilia sensed that it was the source of the strange chanting she heard, chanting which had grown much louder when the door was opened. </i>
